Last year summer, I visited at least 20 museums using "Grutt Pass ", it is value-priced ticket booklet (for only 2000yen) which provides admission or discounts to the 75 museums,zoos and aquariums in Tokyo.
Among the museums I visited, although I always love "Miraikan", I
was particularly impressed with RiSuPia, Panasonic's Digital Network
Museum in Ariake. RiSuPia is a hands-on (Look -Touch - Learn) museum
which provides fun way of learning and understanding Science and Math. I
especially loved the 3D presentation on the Fibonacci Numbers and why
they appear in various "family trees" and patterns of spirals of leaves
and seeds. There were also air hockey game where you have to hit
against the numbers other than prime numbers. It was really fun and I
really saw with my two eyes and touch with my bare hands the rules of
science and Mathematics.
So any way to beat the summer heat? I recommend visiting museums where you can really learn while having fun like RiSuPia
